After two decades of planning, Penn Engineering dedicated the
Melvin J. and Claire Levine Hall at a ceremony on April 9, 2003. The new
building, which links the Towne and Moore Buildings, is now home to
the Department of Computer and Information Science. President Rodin
praised the foresight of Mel and Claire Levine, whose $10 million gift
helped make the project possible.
Pictured in the lobby of Levine Hall by the portrait that recognizes their
"generosity and vision" are Melvin, W’46, and Claire Levine together
with President Judith Rodin and SEAS Dean Eduardo Glandt.
