The Advancement Project

The Advancement Project (TAP) is a joint effort of the Office of Development and Alumni Relations (DAR), the Division of Finance, and Information Systems and Computing (ISC) to integrate and improve current alumni, donor, and gift administration systems. Its goals are:

  • to allow the University to significantly increase its fundraising
  • to better support alumni, donor, and membership programs
  • to meet the University's financial requirements more efficiently and effectively
  • to implement the self-service tools, data, systems, supporting policies, and procedures that allow this to happen

ATLAS Update -- February 2007

ATLAS 4.0 . . . The Journey Continues

On April 2nd 2007 we will launch Atlas 4.0!

Atlas 4.0 includes updates and changes to such things as giving history inquiry, pledge schedules, gift and pledge transmittals. All Development and Alumni Relations staff will notice enhancements in Atlas 4.0.

To introduce Development and Alumni Relations staff to these updates and to review recent Atlas enhancements, all DAR staff members are required to attend one Atlas 4.0 Overview Training.

Additionally, staff members who prepare transmittals are required to attend New Transmittal and Advanced Gifts Training in order to be trained on processing gifts and pledges with the newly revised/updated transmittal forms.

Atlas 4.0 was designed to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of Development and Alumni Relations work at Penn. We look forward to sharing these enhancements and updates with all of DAR.

If you have any questions about Atlas 4.0 Training or the Atlas 4.0 launch, please contact Cassie Bartelme, DAR Training Specialist for help.

ATLAS 4.0 Improvements and Enhancements:

  • Automatic Soft Dollar Crediting for spouse/partner
  • Enhanced Pledge Schedules
  • Pledges to Multiple Designations
  • Mass Communications Functionality
  • New Transmittal Forms
  • And more!

The Advancement Project is a collaborative effort of Development and Alumni Relations (DAR), the Treasurer's Office, and Information Systems and Computing.
