The Advancement Project

Timeline and Overview

The project team will use a phased approach, as described in the principles of Program Management at Penn (PMAP), to ensure that all relevant constituencies at Penn will be included in the planning process. The phase structure is designed to ensure a complete definition and planning effort before implementation. The heart of PMAP is phased approval of projects. Phased approval of projects means that far-reaching decisions are made only as enough information becomes available to make them wisely. In particular, the decision to plan a project is separated from the decision to release funds for development.
