Dear Association of Latino Alumni,
Receiving the ALA scholarship was an honor and I enjoyed attending the subsequent ALA events in my following years at Penn. Meeting other Latino Penn Alumni was encouraging because it gave me a glimpse of some of the possible career paths to pursue after graduation.
After graduation, I spent a year in France teaching English through a program ran through the French embassy. Upon my return, I moved to Washington DC and have been working in international development ever since. I am currently working in the Business Development Unit of Creative Associates International Inc., a firm that specializes in educational, community and democratic development in countries recovering from conflict or facing major political transitions.
Muchas Gracias,
Carolina Mejia, C'05
