September 4, 2007
Dear ALA members,
I cannot thank you enough for awarding me the Penn Latino Association Scholarship. I will admit your gift came as a surprise to me, but it was of course a welcome one, and incredibly touching and generous.
Your support will help fund my education and serve as a source of inspiration and encouragement as I continue my academic career. I hope that during my years at Penn and beyond, I can prove that your investment in me is a wise one. I also hope that one day I can return your kindness by helping you invest in the dreams of future Penn students as well.
Sincerely,
Maggie Tishman
