Dear Fellow Pennsylvanian:

What annual event brings together some of the greatest minds and innovative thinkers at Penn today? None other than Alumni Weekend.

Penn’s distinction as one of the finest universities in the world is reflected in the range of activities you can expect at Alumni Weekend 2004 – in panel discussions, seminars, and workshops, at official meetings, celebrations, and tours. With all the possibilities, this is one event you won’t want to miss.

Along with our perennial favorites, including the ENIAC Virtual Tour (with a special tour for kids this year) and the Architectural Walking Tour, you will have the opportunity to explore creative new ways to teach art and literacy… to think about human evolution... and to overcome obstacles to career advancement. You can take the "Penn Gallery Hop" or get your hands dirty as you garden with the "Green Project," test your "Negotiating IQ," discover the "Magic" in movies, gain "Perspectives on the Market," and so much more.

For many alumni, this year's Weekend highlight will be having the opportunity to interact with Judith Rodin - whose devotion, over the past ten years, has energized us all and propelled Penn to new heights of distinction and prestige. Her final days as President are sure to add to the poignancy of our traditional celebrations, including the Alumni Day picnic and the parade of classes on to College Green.

Like our great alma mater, Alumni Weekend will engage your head and your heart in much the same way you were engaged as a student, last year or years ago. We hope that you will come celebrate with us May 14 -17 and "make the connection" with all that is Penn.
