from World War II
Contemporary glass artists employ fragments collected by
army chaplain Frederick A. McDonald from the debris of
churches, chapels, and synagogues in Europe to create
inspired new windows. Universally symbolic of destruction
and the resurrection of faith and hope through art, the
"McDonald Windows" will be permanently installed in the
Interfaith Chapel of the Presidio, San Francisco.

Kahn's Philadelphia
Perhaps the most significant architect of the second half
of the twentieth century, Louis I. Kahn (1901-1974) was
shaped by — and in turn shaped — the great industrial city
of Philadelphia. To celebrate his legacy, the Architectural
Archives is exhibiting "Kahn's Philadelphia," featuring
over 50 objects, including design sketches, rare archival
photographs, and period publications that vividly explore
the work of Kahn and his circle.

Trenton Doyle Hancock
Trenton Doyle Hancock makes prints, drawings, wallpaper
and paintings that tell the mythical, tragicomic story of the
Mounds, the artist's half-animal and half-plant protagonists.
His works collectively function as a narrative, portraying the
birth, life, death, afterlife, and even dream states of the Mounds,
as they are preyed upon by evil beings called Vegans.
