Janice
Ferebee

Janice Ferebee is a Washington, DC based author and motivational
speaker whose first book, "Got It Goin' On: An Image Awareness Guide
for Young Ladies," provided the foundation for a workshop series
currently held at the National Capital YMCA of Metropolitan DC and
many other youth workshops throughout the region. Janice's volunteer
commitment began as a teenager in the New York area and continued
with her participation as a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority.
She was the first African American Models Editor for Seventeen Magazine.
As an example of Ms. Ferebee's passion and commitment to empowering
young girls, she self-published both editions of "Got It Goin' On."
Ms. Ferebee has been heard on local radio shows and seen on local
and national television including BET's "Teen Summit." She holds
a Master of Social Work degree from the University of Pennsylvania
and is committed to making a difference in the lives of girls everywhere.
