The Office of Foundation Relations centrally manages relationships between the University of Pennsylvania and philanthropic foundations. Foundations support a range of Penn’s projects and programs, from scholarly and scientific research to community outreach.
Penn is a leading research university with premier programs in medicine, arts and sciences, nursing, engineering, social policy, dental medicine, business, design and law. We strive to maximize funding from foundations to advance Penn’s groundbreaking research, teaching and outreach activities by ensuring that each University contact with a foundation is strategic and optimized. Ultimately, our goal is to build, enhance and sustain relationships with a broad range of local, national and international foundations to promote shared goals and objectives.
The Office of Foundation Relations, part of Penn’s Development and Alumni Relations organization, works closely with development staff across campus, and we coordinate our efforts and activities with the Vice Provost for Research, and the Office of Research Services.
