In a few short months we will be celebrating our 50th Reunion. An auspicious event, indeed! We hope you are already making plans to return to campus to celebrate with old friends. The reunion committee has been working with the University to plan a full weekend of events designed to be fun, festive and informative. Programs begin Friday afternoon with interesting lectures and panels as well as updates on exciting plans like the proposed development of twenty-four acres on the eastern edge of campus.
The highlight of Friday evening is an elegant celebration at the Franklin Institute that will include a private viewing of the sensational King Tut exhibit currently touring the country.
The cost of the entire reunion is only $170 per person. This price includes our Reunion dinner and the Alumni Day Picnic as well as the panels, seminars and social events scheduled throughout the weekend. If you can't make it on Friday, please be sure to join us for the Alumni Day Picnic and Parade of Classes on Saturday. The cost is only $30 and includes a four hour picnic, children's activities and a host of panels, seminars and presentations. On Sunday, we will share a scrumptious, Mothers' Day themed brunch with the 25th Reunion Class. Friends and family are welcome.
Watch for your invitation, which will be mailed during the first week in March, and be sure to register early. Alumni who register by May 4th will receive a voucher for free parking when they arrive on campus and check in.
The reunion committee is planning a wonderful weekend and we have worked with the University to make the events inexpensive and accessible, but a reunion is only as good as its attendees, and that is why we need you there. Enclosed are some details about Alumni Weekend and our Reunion that will help you plan ahead.
Our 50th Reunion is shaping up to be a memorable celebration and we look forward to seeing you on campus again.
Sincerely,
Charlie Meredith
