Invitations are mailed in early March and should be in your mailbox no later than the third week of March. If you do not receive your invitation by March 26th, please call Alumni Relations (215.898.7811) to verify your address and request another invitation.
The Alumni Weekend Guide will be included in the March/April issue of The Gazette. The Guide contains the myriad of activities you can attend throughout the whole weekend. Events are open to all alumni.
Registration begins March 1st. There are two ways to register: via the reply card in the invitation or your class reunion website www.alumni.upenn.edu/class/1957/50threunion.
In the meantime, please make sure you are part of the Penn Alumni Online Community, also known as QuakerNet. If you have not done so, register at www.alumniconnections.com/penn. Log in to find information about your former freshman hall mates and senior classmates so that you may reach out to them.
There are two pricing options: The Reunion Weekend Package, which includes your Class Reunion celebration, the events of Alumni Day (see Reunion Events) and all educational programs. The Alumni Day Price includes the Alumni Day Picnic, Taste of Penn, Meet Me on the Commons and all educational programs.
When arriving on campus, we suggest that you arrive early on Friday to avoid long lines. Please check in at the Registration Tent on College Green (look for the balloon labeled "Registration").
On Friday May 11, from 9AM to 4PM, there will be a hospitality suite in Bodek Lounge, Houston Hall, particularly, for the 25th and 50th Reunion classes. It is a great place to plan to meet old friends.
If you pre-register, you will receive Alumni Weekend passes for each person you registered. These passes will serve as your nametag and will provide you with entry to all Alumni Weekend events: class reunion parties, the Alumni Day Picnic, Meet Me on the Commons, etc. In addition, you will receive parking vouchers for Friday May 11 and Saturday May 12 at check in.
Golf carts will be readily available to take alumni to campus events throughout the weekend.
We have restructured the Picnic and Parade in recent years based on alumni feedback. The Picnic has been extended; it now starts at noon and ends at 4pm. The Parade is scheduled to commence at 2pm in an effort to provide intermittent entertainment and not signal the end of the festivities. The Parade highlights the Old Guard, Milestone reunions (25th and 50th), Classes and class giving, Diversity Alliance and more.
If you have not made hotel accommodations, do so quickly. During Alumni Weekend hotels often sell out and are always more expensive than any other time during the year. To find less expensive accommodations, consider staying a little further from campus. Many alumni choose to stay closer to the airport and use taxicabs or a rental car to get around the city. Alumni who register by May 4th will receive vouchers for free parking for Friday and Saturday.
