Dear Classmate,

Welcome to the inaugural on-line newsletter for the Class of 1992. Since most of us spend a significant amount of time on the Internet, we have put our newsletter on the web, here at our class web site. From this site, you can update your contact information, join the Penn On-Line Community, find other classmates, or submit a newsnote to be published in the next newsletter. We would like to maintain our class’ tradition of spirit and enthusiasm by creating a newsletter that engages our class and updates you about classmates and our alma mater. Through the difficulties of the past year, many of us have nurtured our connection to each other and to Penn. The on-line newsletters are a great way for all of us to keep in touch and strengthen our connection to Penn and to one another.

We want to encourage all classmates to take an active role in our class newsletter. If you or a classmate you know has recently been part of something exciting (such as a fun trip or a television appearance) or just has some terrific news to share (such as a wedding, birth, graduation, promotion, etc.), please let us know! We know you all enjoy reading about your friends—and they would love to read about you (the two of us would, that’s for sure)! Please submit a newsnote about yourself, what you’ve been up to, or how this past year may have affected you. Our goal is to promote communication among classmates by personalizing the newsletters and generating enthusiasm for future class programming.

Speaking of programming, we had the thrilling privilege of marching down Locust Walk in the Alumni Day Parade accompanied by a throng of over 500 Class of 1992 classmates (and guests) this past May. We are proud to report that we were the Reunion Class with the largest percentage of attendance at Alumni Day. In addition to seeing so many of you at the Alumni Day Picnic, we enjoyed talking and partying with you at our other reunion events: the Kickoff Bash on Friday at the Palladium; the 10th Reunion Party at the University Museum on Saturday night; and the Bon Voyage Brunch at the Sweeten House on Sunday morning. Thank you very much to those who attended for being a part of this record-breaking weekend for our class.

For those of you who were unable to join us for Alumni Weekend (and for those who did, too!), why not return for Homecoming in November? This year Penn will play Brown on November 2nd. Please be sure not to miss one of the most exciting weekends for Penn alums! For more information, please contact the Office of Alumni Relations at (215) 898-7811 or alumni@ben.dev.upenn.edu.

Best regards,
