Dear Classmate,

Welcome to the inaugural on-line newsletter for the Class of 1996. Since most of us spend a significant amount of time on the Internet, we have decided to put our newsletter on our class website. From this site, you can update your contact information, join the On-Line Community, find other classmates, and submit a newsnote to be published in the next newsletter. We would like to build support and enthusiasm in creating a newsletter that engages our class, updating you about classmates and our alma mater. Through the difficulties of 2001, our connections to each other and to Penn have grown stronger and more important. Newsletters and the class website are a great way for us to all keep in touch.

I want to encourage any and all classmates to take an active role in our class website and newsletter. If you or a classmate you know has some terrific news to share, let us know! Please submit a newsnote about yourself, what you’ve been up to, or how this past year may have affected you. Our goal is to promote communication among classmates by personalizing the newsletters and generating significant interest in future class programming.

Finally, if you haven’t been back to Penn lately, why not return for Homecoming in November? This year Penn will play Brown on November 2nd. For any additional information, please contact the Office of Alumni Relations at (215) 898-7811 or alumni@ben.dev.upenn.edu.

Best regards,

Lenny Chang, W’96
Class President

Recently the Hall of Fame announced a traveling exhibit of their museum, called Baseball As America; this includes artifacts about the history of baseball and how it is interwoven into American life, and one of the pieces they will be using is my T-shirt!
