Class of 2007 Senior Gift Drive Quick Facts

· Our senior class gift will raise unrestricted funds for the University that benefit every undergrad, and the majority of the funds we raise will be given to current and future students' financial aid.
· 2 out of every 5 Penn students receive financial aid.
· Even before applying for financial aid, only 70% of the cost of a Penn education is covered by tuition. The other 30% is subsidized by alumni and friends who make gifts like ours. The cost of our education is far greater than the price.
· Every $1 that you give to The Penn Fund is like giving $22 to the endowment; this has a huge and immediate impact!
· Unrestricted dollars are critical to undergraduate education at Penn because our endowment per student is very low, 66th in the country. These dollars give the University the flexibility and support it needs to stay competitive and maintain/improve on our #7 standing.
· Unrestricted dollars that do not bolster financial aid are spent immediately on new classes, SAC funding, Kelly Writer's House, CURF, and College House's residential life improvements.
· University recognition of all gifts in the class honor roll and class website. Individuals who donate $250 or more will be enrolled in the Benjamin Franklin leadership giving Society, and they will be invited to BFS events and receive special recognition from the University.
· Campus organizations that achieve 100% participation from their senior members will receive special recognition and will be invited to the Senior Gift Drive Wine and Cheese reception on January 31, 2007 with Dr. Gutmann, BFS members and the senior gift committee.
· Record: Class of 2006 with 60% participation.
