Student Email Account Expiration

Email account expiration is different for every school. Below is a brief summary, including links to individual school computing help pages.

SEAS
If you are a May graduate, your account will expire the October after graduation (6 week warning).

  • SEAS email address should continue to work as long as you have a forwarding address on the Penn alumni system (i.e., @alumni.upenn.edu — see QuakerNet to set up a forwarding address).
  • Once your SEAS account has been deleted, mail will only be forwarded. All other special features, such as Spamblock and other filtering, will no longer apply.
  • Set up forwarding address as follows so that mail sent to SEAS will immediately go to the alumni forwarding system, then the ISP account.
    1. Get an account from an ISP in your local area. Make sure it works.
    2. Sign up for alumni email forwarding to your ISP account through QuakerNet.
    3. Set your SEAS account to forward to your alumni address by visiting www.seas.upenn.edu/accounts. Choose "configure your email account" and "mail forwarding".

SAS

  • Old SAS Accounts
    1. Email expiration warning in late Sept/early Oct.
    2. Can set up forwarding using SAS account through following May.
  • PennLive Accounts
    1. Student accounts will turn over to SAS alumni accounts – all emails, contacts, content will transfer.
    2. Going forward, this will happen in the Fall following graduation – this year, it's TBA.

Wharton

  • Lifelong email forwarding for all Wharton students/alumni.

Nursing

  • Email accounts will expire in August following graduation.
  • For permanent email forwarding, visit QuakerNet.
