Not Joe Alumni: Maximizing Outreach

Learn how to locate, connect, and re-engage classmates. At the end of this session, you will be armed with the information needed to:
- Create a diverse committee that represents all affinity affiliations in the class such as honor societies, performing arts, The Record, Kelly Writers' House, religious groups, fraternities/sororities, athletics, band, cheerleaders, etc.
- Create a committee that is diverse in gender, race, and sexual orientation.
- Increase the number of reunion attendees and committee members for your class.
- Engage an untapped segment of your class through targeted programming and outreach.
- Broaden alumni events to engage a wider range of alumni.
- Make Penn history by having the largest attendance at your reunion.
Reunion Planning from A-Z

Learn the essentials of planning a Penn reunion. Discover how to work with your Alumni Relations liaisons to:
- Select appropriate campus venues perfect for your class events during Alumni Weekend.
- Select the right and relevant theme, souvenir, caterer and menu.
- Secure lodging and child care for your class.
- Ensure your class plays a role in what is now a "Pennergized" Picnic and Parade.
- Help Penn capture "red and blue" moments with pictures.
- Register classmates for the reunion.
- Recreate your Penn experience using your class traditions.

Reunion Kick Off Events call attention to Alumni Weekend, build class enthusiasm, and drum up more participants for the reunion by planning a reunion kick off event/ pre reunion event. Reunion Kick Off events can be incredibly successful, but their success depends on the effort invested by volunteers themselves. Hear from the experts how your class can host and organize stimulating and fun events around the country!

Communicating with Your Class
There are a multitude of ways to communicate with your class but which way is best? In this session, you will find out:
- The communications time line to advertise your reunion.
- How to craft personal messages that resonate with your class.
- How to use your Class Website.
- The process for sending reunion invitations as well as print and email newsletters.
- The "how-to" approach using prominent social network sites such as face book and twitter.
Penn Traditions
Penn Traditions turns today's students into tomorrow's alumni leaders by providing leadership and advancement opportunities with Penn Alumni Relations. With this in mind, students will play a crucial and special part in your reunion. Learn how current Penn students, particularly our College House Alumni Ambassadors (CHAA), plan to work with you to make your reunion unique and memorable. You will not want to miss this!
Class Committee Working Lunch
Enjoy lunch while meeting with your class to share what Reunion FACTS you learned during the conference. Many classes will use this opportunity to have an in person committee meeting.
