MARAB
Welcome to the website of the University of Pennsylvania Mid-Atlantic Regional Advisory Board (MARAB). We hope you find this site to be an informative guide to our organization.
Who are we?
MARAB is a regional council of alumni leaders from the Washington-Baltimore area.
Our members, by power of our example and commitment, support and foster University
activities and act as advocates of and emissaries for the University within
the region.
MARAB members have demonstrated alumni leadership through support of the University's priorities -- such as fund-raising initiatives, alumni organizations, the admissions process, student projects, continuing education, etc. All members are elected to MARAB by the current board, based on their achievements, leadership, commitment, and philanthropy. By visibly supporting the University priorities locally, MARAB members set the standard for other alumni to follow. In addition, MARAB provides a regional platform for identifying and engaging new future leaders for the University.
Where are other Regional Advisory Boards (RABs)?
The University currently has RABs in Southern California, the Mid-Atlantic, Chicago, and Southern Florida, and will establish more nationally and internationally over the next decade.
