Membership Information
Our activities are focused in the Baltimore-Washington DC area, as well as on campus, and include social events, educational events, newsletter communication, secondary school support and development. All activities are supported by and coordinated with Penn Alumni.
Requirements for membership in MARAB are:
- Active participation in the Penn community.
- A financial commitment commensurate with a leadership position. Generally we expect our members to contribute at least $1,000 annually.
- Annual dues of $249, which are used to support MARAB activities.
Nomination Process
- Potential new MARAB members are identified and elected throughout the year.
- Nominations are reviewed by the MARAB board and Alumni Relations at Penn.
- Once approved for membership, letters of invitation are sent from the President to join as a MARAB member.
Ex-officio Membership
MARAB extends ex-officio membership to senior regional alumni leaders. These may include the presidents of local Penn alumni club(s), local Wharton club(s), local affinity groups, local Secondary School Committee(s), local member of the BFS National Council, etc. Giving requirements and membership dues may be waived for these members as necessary.
