Under the leadership of Susan Small Savitsky, CW'75, and Steven Lerman,
W'69, MARAB undertook an ambitious goal to raise $5 million for undergraduate
financial aid over a three-year period. The Initiative
officially — and
triumphantly — concluded in December 2006, a year ahead of schedule.
Not only was the goal reached just two years into the initiative but the
$5 million goal was substantially exceeded – over $7.5 million was committed
by alumni, parents, and friends in the Mid-Atlantic between October 2004
and December 2006. [Read
