Welcome to the Penn Alumni Association of Rhode Island and Southeastern Massachusetts! The Association represents a diverse group of locally-based Penn alumni dedicated to fostering enriching experiences for its members, while maintaining strong ties to Penn. Throughout the year, we sponsor a number of exciting events aimed at providing fun and rewarding experiences for our members, such as hosting luncheons with prominent local Penn alumni and other speakers and gathering for Penn sporting events. There are also many opportunities to support Penn, such as contributing to the Association's Edmiston Memorial Scholarship Fund or interviewing high school candidates to the University. Some of our activities and opportunities for involvement include:
Luncheons with prominent local Penn alumni and others. Recent speakers have included Joseph Montalbano, C'75, President of the Rhode Island Senate, and Anne Shostak, former president of Fleet Rhode Island
Sporting events. We get together to
have fun and support Penn sports, such as football, basketball
and lacrosse. In February, we gathered to cheer on Penn's mens
basketball team to an exciting victory over Brown in front of
a sellout crowd, an important win en route to Penn's appearance
in the NCAA Tournament.
Secondary schools efforts provide a
number of opportunities for you to support Penn, such as interviewing
high school candidates applying for admission to the University
or attending college fairs to broaden Penn's exposure in the local
community.

events at left. Hopefully, some of our events and opportunities
appeal to you. We would love to have you participate in any activity.
If you don't happen to see something that interests you, we're
open to new ideas. Give us your feedback!
We are always trying to expand our membership.
So, if you are not already a member, we invite you to join. And
if you know any local Penn alumnus who may be interested in becoming
a member, let us know. Click on the membership
tab at left for more information. We look forward to hearing
from you.
