November 3 , 2009 Did You Know... that with their 14-7 overtime victory over Brown this weekend, the University of Pennsylvania football team became the first program in NCAA history to play in 1,300 games? Penn began playing intercollegiate football in the fall of 1876. The Quakers played Princeton twice that year, losing both times. But the Quakers (5-2 overall in 2009 with a 4-0 Ivy record) hope to settle that historical score at this week's Homecoming game at Franklin Field which will mark the two Ivy League foes' 101st all-time meeting. The game, which begins at 3:30pm, will be broadcast on the Comcast Network, but you can, of course, see it live if you attend Homecoming Weekend!
