The Department of Development and Alumni Relations
attracts resources to support the University's educational, research,
and service goals. Recognizing the importance of alumni, volunteer
leaders, philanthropic supporters, and others as Penn ambassadors,
the department works to enhance their sense of pride in and commitment
to the University. Alumni
Relations manages a comprehensive program of activities, communications
outreach, and services designed to attract, inform, and involve
Penn's Alumni. The Development program focuses its attention on
varied fundraising approaches, including: annual giving, major
gifts, planned giving, and corporate and foundation giving.
