The James Brister Society (JBS) Emergency Grant Fund offers grants to sophomores, juniors, and seniors with special financial need related to academic pursuits. Grants will be for sudden, compelling, and unanticipated need due to changes in financial circumstances, such as the death or unemployment of a parent. These students might be unable to continue their studies without special financial assistance. Through this emergency fund, JBS may be able to assist in meeting part of the emergency need, depending on its magnitude. Students must be enrolled in the University and be in good academic standing to qualify. The JBS grant awards will be determined by the JBS with input from Penn Student Financial Services.
