Alumni Set Records for Dollars and Donors
More than 25,000 undergraduate alumni gave to The Penn Fund this past fiscal year, contributing $19.4 million and making June 30, 2005 a record-breaking day. Receipts increased 17.6 percent from last year and 12 reunion classes set participation and/or dollar records.
Celebrating its 25th Reunion, the Class of 1980 made a spectacular showing in alumni pledges to The Penn Fund with 927 donors. The Class of 1985, in its 20th Reunion year, followed with 693 donors. The Class of 1975, which commemorated its 30th Reunion, hit the 661-donor mark.
The Classes of 1977, 1979, and 1984, demonstrated the importance of giving annually by taking honors for most dollars raised by non-reunion classes. The Class of 1982 won accolades for the highest level of participation for a non-reunion class with 646 classmates making pledges.
Our most recent alumni, the Class of 2005 set a record for a senior class and led this year's efforts in class participation with 1,124 students participating, a 49% rate.
The Penn Fund sincerely thanks all our donors for their participation and for helping to advance the mission of undergraduate education at the University. We look forward to your continued involvement in and enthusiasm for The Penn Fund.
Please remember that every gift counts toward supporting our four undergraduate schools – the College, Engineering, Nursing, and Wharton.
