In a challenging year, over 29,000 Proud Penn Donors demonstrated their commitment to undergraduate education at Penn by supporting The Penn Fund and the University of Pennsylvania. Gifts from alumni, parents and friends are already at work for Penn students. Some highlights from fiscal year 2009 include:

    • A record number of Ivy Stone Society members renewed or initiated membership in fiscal year 2009. This totaled over 16,000 members!
    • The senior class shattered the previous participation record to break 68% participation as part of the Unite ONine: Seniors for The Penn Fund campaign.
    • The Penn Fund raised over $22.6 million, making FY09 the third highest fundraising year in Penn Fund history.
    • He asked and you responded! Brett Barth, Chair of The Penn Fund Executive Board, released a video thanking Penn Fund donors for their demonstration of support this past fiscal year. View video.

    All 30,845 donors served as inspiration to The Penn Fund and the University of Pennsylvania in fiscal year 2008.
    By making a gift to The Penn Fund in fiscal year 2008, donors directly contributed to the success of current and future Penn students. The record-breaking $27.2 million raised from over 30,000 alumni, parents, and friends instantly went to work across the University to support all aspects of undergraduate education at Penn.

    The Penn Fund had an immensely successful fundraising year in FY06, thanks to the efforts of many alumni donors and dedicated volunteers.
    The Penn Fund collected an impressive $21.1 million this, a 8.5% increase over last year. Participation also continued to soar as over 26,000 alumni made a gift to the University, a 2.6% increase over last year. Every gift makes a profound difference in the lives of Penn students. Your gift directly impacts the financial aid, facilities, technology, and superior faculty – the foundation of a student’s undergraduate education at Penn.

    Fiscal Year 2005 Penn Fund Giving Results

    More than 25,000 undergraduate alumni gave to The Penn Fund in fiscal year 2005, contributing $19.4 million and making June 30, 2005 a record-breaking day. Receipts increased 17.6 percent from FY04 and 12 reunion classes set participation and/or dollar records. Celebrating its 25th Reunion, the Class of 1980 made a spectacular showing in alumni pledges to The Penn Fund with 927 donors. The Class of 1985, in its 20th Reunion year, followed with 693 donors. The Class of 1975, which commemorated its 30th Reunion, hit the 661-donor mark.

    The Classes of 1977, 1979, and 1984, demonstrated the importance of giving annually by taking honors for most dollars raised by non-reunion classes. The Class of 1982 won accolades for the highest level of participation for a non-reunion class with 646 classmates making pledges.

    The most recent alumni, the Class of 2005, set a record for a senior class and led efforts in class participation with 1,124 students participating, a 49% rate.

    Fiscal Year 2004 Penn Fund Giving Results

    The Penn Fund had an immensely successful fundraising year in FY05, thanks to the efforts of many alumni donors and more than 800 alumni volunteers.
    The Penn Fund posted its best numbers ever -- $16.5 million, a 17% increase over FY'03. We also saw a record number of undergraduate alumni donors - 25,440 - participate in The Penn Fund. This represented a 9.6% increase over the previous year. Every gift counts and we are grateful for your support. Gifts directly impact the education our undergraduate students' experience in all four schools: College, Engineering, Nursing, and Wharton.

    The Penn Fund FY03 Campaign

    We Reached Our Project 5000 Goal

    The Penn Fund had an immensely successful fundraising year in FY03, thanks to the efforts of many alumni and volunteers.
    The Penn Fund posted its best numbers ever -- $14.1 million, a 14% increase over FY02. In addition to our existing donor base, we garnered support from a new group – alumni who had never made gifts – as a result of Project 5000. We exceeded our goal, adding 5,310 new donors to The Penn Fund (see distribution by class here).We are now up to a donor base of 27,190, which is an increase of 13% over FY02.
