Want to Get Involved?

Whether you would like to become a board member or just help plan or volunteer at a specific event or activity, there are numerous opportunities to stay engaged with Penn. Joining the board or helping plan an event is a great way to bolster and expand your resume, develop professional relationships and friendships with board members and other Penn alumni, and to give back to the community.

The club holds regular board meetings that are open for any alumni to attend. If you are interested in becoming more active with the club or have questions, please contact the club at pennclubofcolorado@gmail.com.

MEMBERSHIP

Annual membership in the Penn Alumni Club of Colorado costs $35.00 per person. All Penn Club board members are strictly volunteers and membership dues are used to pay up-front event costs such as securing venues, hotel reservation costs for visiting professors, purchasing food and drinks in advance of an event, etc.

In addition to professional networking, socializing with other alumni, and learning through education-oriented activities, other benefits of membership include: reduced admission fees for all Penn Club events; FREE admission for one guest of your choice to a Penn Club event during the year; and the ability to serve as a Penn Club board member.

Board members are present at each activity to collect annual dues by check or with exact cash (we cannot provide change). Dues can also be paid by check. Make checks payable to the "Penn Alumni Club of Colorado."

Please click here to pay your annual dues online.

The Penn Club of Colorado is pleased to invite you to a very special event featuring Dr. David Casarett. Dr. Casarett is a tenured Professor of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania Perelman School of Medicine, a faculty member of Penn's  Department of Medical Ethics and Health Policy, and the Director of Hospice and Palliative Care for the University of Pennsylvania.

Does medical marijuana "work"? Does it have any therapeutic value or is it just an excuse to get high? Does it have any risks? During this talk, Dr. Casarett describes his own journey to answer these questions in the process of researching and writing Stoned: A Doctor's Case for Medical Marijuana. Using a mix of evidence, anecdote, and patient stories, he describes what we know about marijuana's risks and benefits, and how it works.
