7 night Nile River cruise (Luxor - Aswan - Luxor)
Travel with us across the sands of time to the world of ancient Egypt on this custom tour designed exclusively for Penn Alumni Travel. Begin your journey in Cairo to visit early Coptic, Jewish and Islamic sites there. Then visit Luxor and the Valleys of the Kings and Queens and the Karnak temples as well as other tombs not open to the general public. Board our private charter for a seven day Nile River cruise to visit monument sites including Edfu, Aswan, Thebes, Abu Simel, Aswan, Kom Ombo, and Esna. A highlight will be visiting the latest discoveries at Abydos, the site the Penn Museum has been excavating since 1967. Finish our journey in Cairo with a visit to the pyramids at Giza and the Sphinx.
Slight modifications may be made, depending on what sites we will be open in 2010, but for the most part our trip will remain as listed in the PDFs above.
