Come with us to Lucca, set in a picturesque valley, surrounded by hills and encircled by 16th-century walls. Stay in the heart of the charming Old Town. Travel through magnificent plains, olive groves and vineyards to explore the famed Leaning Tower of Pisa, the Renaissance capital of Florence, the artistic heritage of Carrara and the coastal town of Viareggio. Experience living history as you stroll through ancient towns and admire idyllic Tuscan landscapes while discovering the timeless allure of this beautiful region. We will share this program with alumni from the University of Notre Dame.

"I traveled to Lucca in April for a quick tour and to inspect the hotel for this program — the San Luca Palace Hotel. Lucca is a gem of a town, and the hotel, recently updated, offers charming rooms right in the heart of town. A leisurely bike-ride atop Lucca's city walls is just one way to spend your free time — or visit the vibrant shopping street and small shops tucked away in this charming city!"
