Kelly from Alumni Relations will provide a brief introduction to QuakerNet, our all alumni online directory. Afterwards, Michael and Natty will help you learn about Career Service’s exciting new job and internship platform – Handshake. Implemented during the summer, Handshake is for Penn students and degree recipients served by Career Services. This presentation will be an excellent opportunity to see all of the new things that Handshake has to offer from job opportunities and on-campus recruiting to scheduling appointments with a career counselor. These two Handshake Certified Trainers will get your hands certifiably shaking with excitement! Kelly Porter O’Connor is Director of Penn Alumni Relations Creative Design and Information Media. Kelly began her career at Penn in 2008 working with the Programs and Special Events team in Development and Alumni Relations. In 2012, Kelly joined Alumni Relations as Assistant Director of Classes and Reunions, where she worked with the 5th, 10th, 15th, and 20th reunions before transitioning to her current role. The Creative Design team manages all print and digital marketing material for Alumni Relations, supports the iModules website, email, and events platforms, QuakerNet: The Alumni Directory, and Penn Alumni social media. Kelly is a graduate of Philadelphia University where she earned her degree in Digital Design, was a member of AIGA, and a NCAA student athlete.

Natty Leach, Associate Director/Handshake Manager
Natty joined the Career Services team in February 2017 and manages the office's job and internship boards. He also meets with students from the College of Arts & Sciences about their future career and internship plans. Born and raised in Philadelphia, Natty's high school mascot was also the Quaker. His interest in higher education started when he was an RA at New York University where he majored in Media, Culture and Communication. Loving the ability to explore multiple disciplines and subjects, Natty also minored in both English and Web Design. Prior to coming to the University of Pennsylvania, Natty worked at Temple University as a Pre-Health advisor for four years. While at Temple, he earned his M.Ed. in Educational Leadership. He is now thrilled to be helping students at Penn plan for the future.

J. Michael DeAngelis, Information Resources & Web Manager 
Supervising office technology, all aspects of our online presence, career surveying and statistics, and the Career Services library are just a few of the tasks that fall under Michael's prevue. He began work in Career Services in 2004 and has served as the assistant for the CAS and Graduate Students groups before moving into his current position. He also served as the Arts & Cultures Coordinator for College Houses and Academic Services from 2007-2009, and has been the Director of Penn Life Sketches for the office of New Student Orientation and Academic Initiatives since 2008. As part of his work in Career Services, he sits on the Health Professions Advisory Board and the Hoesley Digital Literacy Fellows Program committee. He received his B.A. in Theatre Arts from Muhlenberg College and studied performance and theater criticism at Goldsmith's College, University of London.
