Protecting our food systems and urban and coastal communities as the climate changes

September 27 | Noon – 1:00 PM ET

Co-sponsored by the Environmental Innovations Initiative

Mainstreaming resilience will be one of the top priorities when negotiators convene in Sharm El Sheik in November for the 27th Conferences of Parties (COP27) to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC). During this panel discussion Penn experts will reflect on how we can and should deepen engagement with stakeholders specifically related to transforming urban slums, equipping smallholder farmers to adapt and thrive, and protecting coastal communities. The panel will be co-hosted with the Environmental Innovations Initiative in preparation for the Penn presence at the COP.
