Institute of Contemporary Art (ICA) Fall Exhibitions On View

Chat with one of our gallery ambassadors about your questions and explore publications from ICA’s nearly 60-year history on campus.
"Moveables" brings together the work of five artists—Jes Fan, Nikita Gale, Hannah Levy, Ken Lum, and Oren Pinhassi—who are rethinking functional design and its intimate relationship to the human body. Whether reminiscent of a living room, lighting rig, toothbrush holder, or chandelier, these artworks invite us to imagine new possibilities for the objects that shape our daily lives, including who they are made for and how they might be used.
David Antonio Cruz's "When the Children Come Home" explores the intersectionality of queerness and race through painting, sculpture, and performance. Focusing on queer, trans, and gender fluid communities of color, David Antonio Cruz explores the notion of ‘chosen family’, the nonbiological bonds between queer people based in mutual support and love. Born and raised in North Philadelphia, along with guest-curator and close friend Monique Long, many of the works included in the exhibition reference sites in Philadelphia that are deeply and personally meaningful to him.
Admission is free! Hours: Wednesday-Sunday 12-6 PM and closed Monday & Tuesday.  Visit our website for tips on planning your visit and notes on accessibility.
