Blueprints and Footprints: Leading in Tumultuous Times
January 11th at 2:00PM - January 13th at 12:00PM
Inn at Penn
We invite you to attend the 13th annual Higher Education Leadership Conference which will be held January 11-13, 2018 at the Inn at Penn.
Blueprints and Footprints: Leading in Tumultuous Times is an acknowledgement and call to leaders across all sectors of higher education, that can offer guidance and inspiration, especially in the face of challenge, difficulty and uncertainty. Through innovative, entrepreneurial and creative thinking, some leaders offer blueprints that give shape, design, and promise for the future of education. While others, through their wisdom, vast experience, and actions leave footprints large enough for others to follow.
No matter the lens or perspective, higher education (and education at all levels) is faced with a multi-dimensional set of challenges that include among others: funding and affordability, student access and achievement, a graying faculty and presidency, the need for new and innovative delivery models, public policy opposition from federal and state legislatures, enrollment challenges, student protest and unrest on campus, and growing questions about the fundamental value of a college degree.
The conference will provide participants an opportunity to engage with a range of leaders and educators (including alumni peers) that have been successful in navigating their institutions, organizations, and constituencies through these tumultuous times.
