Re-Imagining the Future of Higher Education

January 17, 2019 at 2:00pm through January 19, 2019 at 12:00pm

Inn at Penn

The 2019 Higher Education Leadership Conference, aptly titled Re-Imagining the Future of Higher Education, is an invitation to Exec Doc alumni across all sectors and roles to think critically and innovatively about our institutions and programs, missions and outcomes, internal and external partners, students, and the shifting demands—and stakes—of our work.

Higher education leaders today are faced with innumerable challenges and opportunities. Effective institutions and leaders must be prepared to respond to, among other things, changing student demographics, increasing public expectations, new data about how students best learn, increasing competition, an evolving world of work, changes in policy at the state and federal level, and a variety of course-shifting crises and critical events.

The 14th Annual Higher Education Leadership Conference will raise important questions regarding the future of work and what that means for higher education, the future of learning and how data can drive improvements to our efforts to maximize how students engage with their education, and the future of academic and corporate partnerships. The conference will also provide an opportunity to consider leadership and decision-making in some of the most critical contexts and circumstances and the federal and state policy landscape that will most certainly shape the future for higher education leaders and the institutions and organizations they serve. Participants will have the opportunity to consider new ideas and approaches and to engage with thought leaders, scholars, innovators, and practitioners, including both presenters and their Exec Doc alumni colleagues.
